This fifth workshop looks back at the workshop series to identify future activities, outputs, and next steps. The sessions features a live poll and small-group discussion to facilitate engagement and interaction among participants.
After a quick welcome and introduction, the session opens with a group picture taking via Zoom. It then features a review of the previous four workshops, including attendance statistics, a roster of presenters, and the need for better engagement with some of the Pacific countries. Afterwards, the group will be directed to a live poll event to share highlights from the workshop series, and then to a live spreadsheet to compile information about their marine turtle projects. Before pausing for a break, plans for creating a Tissue Sampling Manual was shared, as well as some features of the new working group website.
The second part of the session opens with a networking session wherein all participants were asked to briefly introduce themselves and their work in a small group. A second live poll event was started to gather ideas on how the working group should move forward. And lastly, plans future objectives for the working group were shared.
