This third workshop focuses on genetic analysis of samples for rookery stock structure and mixed stock analysis and will feature specific case studies from the Pacific region. An introduction to Genomics will also be presented, including a sample case study.
The session opens with another presentation from some of our working group members on the work that they are doing, followed by an overview on Rookery Stock Structure (i.e. comparing different nesting colonies) and on Mixed Stock Analysis (i.e. evaluating which nesting colonies contribute to foraging habitats). Case studies from New Caledonia, Australia, and Fiji will follow to give participants some concrete examples. In between, there will be Q&A sessions.
The last part of the workshop features a quick introduction on genomics and a case study from Japan.
